Hi everyone! My name is Savannah Wahab and I am so excited to be joining the McElwain team this year as the Social Emotional Learning Specialist. Although I am a Colorado native, I attended college at Grand Canyon University in Arizona where I received my bachelor’s degree in both elementary education and special education. I have spent most of the last 5 years working as a special education teacher at the Denver Children’s Home. I am really looking forward to meeting the kids and families at McElwain. Ironically, my mom was an elementary student at McElwain about 45 years ago! In my free time, I love to do anything sports related, spend time with family, and hang out with my golden retriever Koda. I am also a huge Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos fan! I truly love working with kids on social/emotional skills and am ready to start a great new school year.
