Aubrie McNeal has a passion for helping students develop a love for reading. She was born and rasied in Colorado Springs and moved to Oregon to get her Bachleors degree in Elementary Education from George Fox University. She returned to Colorado to start her teaching career, taught for 1 year in Glenwood Springs then moved to Arvada where she resides today. Mrs. McNeal received her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in reading and writing from UC Denver in 2014. Mrs. McNeal loves watching the light bulb go off as young students learn to read and write. She taught 1st and 2nd grade for 6 years, was a Reading Intervention teacher for 6 years and is currently the Acadmeic Intervention teacher which focuses on math and reading intervention for 1-3 grade students. Mrs. McNeal holds the belief that every students is capable of learning and exceling. We as teachers have an important role to provide students with the right tools, supports and individualizing instruction to meet their needs.
Outside of school Aubrie loves playing with her two little girls Raya and Neva and husband Randy. She likes going on runs with her dog Sophie and enjoys time outside in the mountainscamping, skiing, and biking. She also loves traveling the world and has a dream one day to make it to Antartica.
